Minnesota North Shore

A road trip through historic towns alongside winding rivers and sprawling lakes.

Bring your camera.

The North Shore of Minnesota is one of the most coveted road trips in the state. It’s a must-see attraction that takes you along the shores of Lake Superior up toward the boarder of Canada. There are a multitude of lookout points and hiking trails - you’ll want to allow a few days to really take in all the scenery and stops.

Essential Item #1: a camera!

Bean & Bear Lake

The site of a very popular Instagram photo: Bean & Bear Lake Overlook! Wear some hiking shoes or sneakers as the trail to get there is pretty rocky and has plenty of uphill terrain. Once you get to the top of the hiking trail to the beautiful overlook, the wind can get pretty strong! Don’t venture too close to the edge.

Devil’s Kettle

Located on the Brule River, the Devil’s Kettle is a mysterious waterfall that enters into the unknown… Many have attempted to trace the water with tracking devices and flotation mechanisms, only to be left wondering: where does all the water go? The measure of water flowing out from the bottom of the falls does not equate to the level of water going in… Crazy!
