West End Artisan: a Twin Cities Shopping Destination

If you live in the Twin Cities, then you’re likely familiar with the Shops at West End in St Louis Park. It’s a popular summer shopping destination with lively patio restaurants, a movie theater, underground parking and lots of retail stores that fit an array of niche markets.

So if you’ve heard of the West End, but have not heard of one of their newest shops: West End Artisan Market & Vintage ~ you must check it out!

This is an extraordinary spot. When you walk in, you’ll notice how huge it is - tall ceilings and beautiful displays as far as the eye can see. Maybe you feel overwhelmed at first, but keep in mind, there are over 20 makers who set up shop here. Everything you see (okay, everything that isn’t a vintage find) has come from a local small business.

There is locally roasted coffee, hand-formulated skin care and aroma products, handmade soaps, locally made clothing, and yes you guessed it: even a Northcast display!

A couple of our favorite things about this store are:

  1. The giant puzzle wall full of outdoors and Minnesota themed puzzles

  2. The color coordinated vintage section. It’s captivating and absolutely irresistible to meander through.

  3. The huge windows that light up the art so nicely.

  4. THE. CHEESECAKE. By Muddy Paws.

  5. The staff - they’re really cool people, and always friendly.

And that’s just a few.

This store is an important part of the community; it gives small business a chance that they wouldn’t otherwise have, to reach a market that they alone could not reach. This is a collective of support for one another. And if you love supporting small business on a local level, take a gander at this spot next time you need a gift for someone or have some time to kill!
