Deciding what to do in life… As much as possible.

I’ve been called many things over the years: an old soul, a creative, an artist, a hard worker, determined, attentive to detail, organized, stubborn. I guess at times in my life, I’ve been a mix of a lot of things - but not one adjective can really sum it up. The same goes for all of us; with each waking day we are given a new chance to be whoever we want to be.

So I ask myself each day: What do I want to do?

Because, like many people, I’ve had trouble focusing on one project or one job. I’m interested in seeing and experiencing as much as possible. There are careers that would offer just that, but I don’t want to be tied to one activity either. So I’ve been navigating what being an entrepreneur means to me.

Learning to fail is a real part of this journey. And some of my failures include: starting a private flight attendant agency, creating a cocktail making and review YouTube channel, working my way up the ladder of Cadillac, planning to sell my jewelry in 5+ boutiques by 2022 - to name a few.
But with a few stumbles and re-routes comes a new direction and successes along the way. I’ve achieved 5 figures of sales in 2021, I’ve had a display in a shop for over a year, I’ve done my best to keep up my website, I’ve launched new product, I hosted an ice fishing contest for the first time, and I’ve maintained a full time job all at the same time.

After all this, I’m left wondering “what’s next?” What will be the next move, next investment, next event? There is always something on the horizon, but sometimes I can’t see it clearly until it’s up close.

So amidst this uncertain economic climate, our dollars losing their value, the corruption of media and government, the complete lack of community engagement and connectedness, the collective psychosis that has people repeating the same lines of misinformation and false claims… I’m asking myself what I want to do next and my answer remains: everything I possibly can.
Sell more of jewelry, enter a new boutique, grow our dry rub sales, land another large deal, grow a garden that provides for my friends and family, spend more time with family members whom I haven’t seen lately. The list goes on but, this post is personal enough already.
The journey to being an entrepreneur is as personal as it gets. And although I’ve struggled to share much of my experience so far, it’s coming.
